That’s what we help you create. A simple, relaxed way to build a time capsule of life experiences—captured in your own voice and preserved in beautiful, high-quality audio for generations to come. There’s no script. No pressure. Just a conversation.

You simply invite a friend or family member to ask you questions—either from our 100 starter questions or ones that are personal to your story. The conversation naturally drifts into memories, relationships, growing up, career paths, and the events that shaped your perspective.

No preparation required, just choose a few questions from our list below to create momentum. Then, you just show up and talk.

We take care of recording everything in a comfortable, high-quality sound studio environment so what you’re preserving sounds clear, natural, and worthy of being passed down for generations.

Every life is full of moments that are easy to forget over time. We simply create the space for those stories to be shared—and preserved. We’re selecting 50 pairs to take part in this for free this spring. Effingham County residents will receive first priority.

Frequently asked questions

It’s simple. You invite someone you know who also wants to create their own audio heirloom. The two of you take turns interviewing each other using questions you choose from our list. It feels like a relaxed conversation, not an interview.

Anyone you’re comfortable talking with — a friend, spouse, sibling, adult child, parent, or mentor. The only requirement is that they also want to record their own session. You’ll be creating heirlooms for each other.

No preparation is required. Just choose a few questions from our list beforehand to create momentum. Once you start talking, the memories naturally begin to flow.

We provide 100 thoughtfully designed starter questions about childhood, family, lessons learned, relationships, career paths, and life perspective. You’re free to use any of them — or ask your own.

We created The Legacy Tool because we realized how quickly time passes and how priceless it is to be able to hear the voice of someone you love telling their story in their own words.

You’re welcome to record your session at our comfortable, quiet studio space here in Rincon, designed specifically for clear, high-quality audio in a relaxed environment.

Prefer to record at your home or location? We’re happy to travel to you for a reasonable additional fee and bring the same professional setup with us.
